Growth for the parent company

Established in 2001, MTR Bailey Trading now employs almost 400 people and has seen a significant progress in the last few years, with a growth of 68.3 percent year-on-year, pushing its turnover for 2017 to almost £179 million. Its profits also kept pace with its growth in turnover reaching almost £15 million in 2017 compared with almost £11 million a year earlier.

As well as sales from its multiple car supermarkets, the company also has its own financial services division called CanCan Car Finance, based in Abercynon which has developed significantly since its creation in 2011.

Plans for the future of MTR Bailey Trading

Trade Centre Wales which sits under the company, has also starting to expand across the UK under the name Trade Centre UK.

It opened its first site outside of Wales in April 2017 situated in Wednesbury in the West Midlands and opened Europe’s largest car supermarket located in Coventry in April 2018 – with plans to further increase its regional footprint into multiple sites across the UK this year.
